The SW-1693-AS thru SW-1715-AS are mechanical style rotating cam switches that are the accepted standards for controlling clutch and brake circuit on mechanical power presses and automation control equipment. These highly accurate, repeatable devices offer simple set up and extreme reliability. By using multiple cams for each critical event and cross checking the contact operation through the press or automation controller, no single component failure can cause inadvertent operation of the system.

The SW-1713-AS-R thru SW-1715-AS-R rotary cam units offer an optional built-in resolver combination package. This resolver unit is compatible with equipment manufactured by Gemco, Autotech & C&A products. The resolver device allows the mechanical cams to be used for critical clutch / brake control circuits, while the resolver is used to control automation functions. This method is the best solution for safety concerns. The Kamco mechanical rotary limit switches are a direct replacement and cost effective solution to the Gemco rotary cam switches.

CAM SWITCH WITH CHAIN BRAKE DETECTION:

The optional Chain Break Detection Base can be used in conjunction with the rotating cam limit switch to detect a broken / slack chain or belt. A switch, held activated under normal conditions, allows the press or automation equipment to continue it’s cycle. If the chain loses tension or breaks, the switch changes state and stops the press or other equipment from running.
