GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The SW-1771-AS is a self-contained photo-electric infrared sensor. Designed to provide powerful and reliable sensing performance at a reasonable cost, they are an ideal choice for part ejection sensing, end of material detection, Part positioning, conveyor control and similar applications. The SW-1771-AS is a diffused type sensor so the unit requires no opposing reflective sensor or match module. The infrared beam is projected from the SW-1771-AS sensor head and reflects off the target of choice and returns back to the sensor head.

The SW-1771-AS is housed in rugged VALOX thermoplastic polyester. The electronics are epoxy-encapsulated and totally sealed. The SW-1771-AS sensors are leakproof and rated NEMA 6P which allows for oil environment applications. Indicator LED’s on the back of the sensor head provides indication of target detection. The detection range of the sensor varies depending on target surface material and angle positioning of sensor to target. Typically a black non-glossy target at a perpendicular angle will yield a distance range of 4 to 7 inches. A lighter glossier target surface at a perpendicular angle will yield a distance range of 5 to 10 inches.
The sensor heads are available in either 10-30V dc or 120Vac models. The electrical output configurations are standard with N.O (normally-open) and N.C (normally-closed) solid-state outputs. The outputs have a maximum current capability of 150ma for the dc models and a 300ma for ac models.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

The SW-1026 Sensing Module is a high performance unit which offer’s the high repeatability sensing requirements demanded of today’s stamping processes. The SW-1026 when suited with the correct optical fiber cable is capable of detecting many of the in die material / part conditions required for effective manufacturing. (see KTI form FKL896 for the selection of the proper optical fiber cable and relative detection ranges ).
The SW-1026 Consist of a powerful, modulated LED light source, a sensitive phototransistor, an LED alignment indicator, and a custom-designed state-of-the-art CMOS modulator / demodulator / amplifier circuit, and have inherently high immunity to ambient light interference. A convenient control enables selection of either “light operated” or “dark operated” in the same sensor, and a rugged, 15-turn Gain control allows precise adjustment of system sensitivity. A red LED alignment indicator on the rear of the sensor lights to simplify alignment, adjustment, and performance monitoring. The module is totally self-contained (sensor and amplifier in one complete, compact package). No external amplification is required. The sensor module is totally solid-state for unlimited life.This sensor is specifically selected to operate with all typical die protection equipment. KTI is staffed with application engineers to help an assist in the selection, placement and electrical tie in of this sensor with your new or existing die-protection equipment.

SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS: Sensing Module Supply Voltage : 10 to 30 V dc ( 10% maximum ripple), at less than 25 ma exclusive of load ) Module Output Configuration: One current so uring (PNP) and one current sinking (NPN) open-collector transistor: Module Output Rating: 150mA maximum each output at 25---0 C, derated to 10 0mA at 700 C ( derate=1mA per 0 C ), Output leakage less than 1 mi croamp ( off-state). GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The SW-1130 is a compact, totally self-contained visible-red fiber optic sensor for easy DIN rail mounting. The SW-1130 series sensors are designed for use with cut-to-length plastic fiber cables (see form FKL1596R1) and also may be used with glass fibers ( see KTI form FKL896R1 for cable types and relative detection ranges ). They may be used in the opposed and diffuse fiber optic sensing modes.The unit has a red seven-segment moving dot LED bargraph indicator to show the strength of the received light signal. This feature can greatly simplify sensitivity adjustment and the task of fiber optic alignment, as well as provide a constant reference over time for overall sensing system performance. This sensor offers the highest optical power available in a fiber optic sensor. The SW-1130 when suited with the correct optical fiber cable is capable of operating over long ranges for detection of in die and out of die material positioning and part ejection requirements needed for effective manufacturing.
