GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The IMC-24B is designed to help metal stampers monitor their stamping processes continually while alleviating the need of a machine operator continually checking for a machine malfunction. The system technology can improve maufacturing efficiency, productivity, and profits by reducing down time and tolling damage. The IMC-24B is a stand-alone end of stock detection system with one normally open contact monitoring channel.

The system utilizes control logic to detect malfunctions and material stock conditions. The IMC is enclosed in a rugged NEMA 12 enclosure and is designed with either UL or UL recognized componenets. The unit has been designed for quick and easy installation, and has a per-wired proximity sensor for end of stock detection.

The function of the IMC-24B is to detect an end of material condition and top stop the machine automatically. The control signals the operator by illuminating a indicator lamp. The by-pass feature allows an operator to run out any remaining material. The malfunction feature utilizes a normally open constant monitor input. Any number of ground signals can be used. If at any time this input receives a ground signal the IMC will automatically stop the machine. Either a Top-Stop or E-Stop signal may be selected for machine malfunction.The use of this machine malfunction input can be applied to an infinite number of applications. Some examples are material buckling, pilot positioning, low lubrication, material positioning and others.
